Albert Cannon Jr. Obituary

Albert Tee and Evelina Cannon were blessed with the birth of a healthy baby boy on Saturday, January 17, 1948 in Riceboro, Georgia. Given the name Albert Cannon, Jr. after his father, he was the first son born to this union.

Albert matriculated through the Liberty County Schools District, attending Riceboro Elementary and Liberty County High Schools. Upon graduating with the class of 1966, he attended West Virginia State College on a football scholarship. He also attended York college in NYC, St.Thomas University and Nova Southeastern University.

As a teenager, Albert supported his family after his parents became ill, by working several garden and kitchen jobs. He cooked, cleaned, and performed household chores while caring for his nephews; Angelo and Jerome, along with his nieces Paris and Sailor.

Albert relocated and lived in NYC for 17 years, during which time he raised his son, Albert Tee as a single parent, while continuing to care for his nieces and nephews.

After seventeen years in New York City, Albert relocated to Miami, Florida where he met his eternal love; Antoinette (Toni) Bergland. The two were united in marriage on November 28, 1987. During their thirty years of marital bliss, together, they nurtured four sons.

Mr. & Mrs. Cannon were both faithful members of The Miami Revival Tabernacle Church, where Albert was ordained as Elder Albert Cannon.

Throughout his tenue with Dade County Public Schools, Albert was an educator and an assistant principal for several years. He tutored students and he was a Royal Rangers Leader, as well as a supportive fan of the   Miami Carol City Chiefs Football team. Albert was also an adjunct professor at Miami Dade College for numerous years.
